This curated collection emerged from my collaboration with photographer Cees Mutsaerts, who reviewed the Portugal archive with fresh perspective. His selections capture what he identified as the photographic essence of my view of Portugal's character.
The images span urban and rural settings—from Porto's azulejo-decorated streets to the Alentejo's sun-baked villages, from Douro Valley's terraced vineyards to the windswept Atlantic coast. Together, they form a visual narrative that reflects Portugal's unique blend of tradition and contemporary life.
These photographs represent Portugal as I experienced it: a country where every region offers distinct character, where light transforms ordinary scenes into extraordinary moments, and where centuries of history remain visible in daily life.
This selection serves as an introduction to the broader Portugal collection, highlighting images that most effectively convey the country's visual appeal and cultural richness.
